Monique has been a guest chef at Rania’s cooking school for a number of years and everyone agrees that her hands on classes rock! Her mission tonight is to teach a complete brunch party menu that every student will be able to take home and duplicate with ease. Our students will be busy working in our catering kitchen creating wonderful Spring Brunch, which will be a preview of Monique's Sunday Jazz Brunch, soon to debut this spring on the Southside (details will follow). We'll start off the lesson with Smoked Salmon Benedict (poached eggs served over asparagus, smoked salmon and English muffin finished with Hollandaise Sauce). Pastrami, Caramelized Onion and Gruyere Frittata might end up becoming the class favorite. Moving on; busy hands will create blacked Shrimp and Cheesy Grits; a true favorite when it comes to Southern Cooking. Almond Crusted French Toast doubles as an entree as well as a dessert. Trust me, the adrenaline will be at an all time high and no one will be tired from all this work. Best part of the class is the party in our cafe, feasting on the fruits of our labor with Mimosas!
