Italian Feast a la Provident!

Wednesday, April 11, 2012 7:00pm - 9:00pm with Chef John Provident!

Not so long ago, an Italian mother somewhere in Pittsburgh, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. According to this sainted woman, the story of his brith was quite an event. She swears on her bible that he came out with a bottle of red wine in one hand and a wedge of Parmesan cheese in the other! Well, given the man we all know as John Provident, we tend to believe the story, as he hasn't changed all that much! John is back with his basket filled with homemade wines and rustic breads, as well as an Antipasto display filled with imported Meats and Cheeses. He's preparing six authentic Italian recipes and as always, this is yet another night of overeating and over drinking! First course: Field Green Salad with braised Fennel and Oranges. Second Course (x2): grilled Ppers Arabiatta and Pasta with Butternut Squash and Leeks finished with Wild Mushrooms. Entrees (x2): Tuscan Stuffed Pork Loin and Beef Bracciole a la Pizziola. Dessert: Stuffed Peaches al la Piemontese. Good God! I'm exhausted just typing all this information! Tip for the night: don't eat for three days before coming and plan on a party in To Go with John the Man!
